Google Map

Filed under: Uncategorized — Francis Oliver Lynn @ 3:30 pm

I successfully created a map – but, I was only able to tag it; when I tried to upload pictures of this amazing slice of heaven, it didn’t accept them and I do not have a clue as to why. You may want to check out this place if you are the nature loving type that grooves on beaches and seclusion.

RSS FEEDS

Filed under: Uncategorized — Francis Oliver Lynn @ 2:36 pm

This was a totally frustrating experience for me – I was not successful. I assume this is because I was not present in class when this topic was covered and the assignment page and lecture notes do not provide enough guidance for a novice like myself – or I am incapable of following simple directions; either way, I failed.

Hey, while I was creating my google map, I noticed the RSS icon, clicked, and proceeded to create an RSS feed on my blog for google maps – not impressive by any stretch of the tech know-how spectrum, but it is a start!

I just added another RSS – RSS Feed Directory – progress? Maybe???

http://www.matthuggins.com/55-essential-articles-every-serious-blogger-should-read/

From the 55 articles on this web site, I read: Five Beginner Blogger Tips, by John Crow

Beginner tips summarized are:

Tip #1 – Blog About Something You’re Passionate About (otherwise you won’t continue)

Tip #2 – Get Your Own Domain Name (Having your own domain makes you look professional)

Tip #3 – Update The Blog Often (A non-updated blog is a dead blog)

Tip #4 – Get To Know Your Readers (Blogging is two-way street – otherwise, what’s the point?)

Tip #5 – Monetize The Blog With Multiple Sources (There are tons of ways to make money)

This article is concise and highly informative, a must read for all bloggers – new or experienced. This site also has 54 other articles that were, apparently, selected for their quality of information.
